Bay City Historic Pavilion Avoids Demolition

Short version,

The owner of the ToxicTaco has sold the Bay City Historic Pavilion to Roc Plutonian. Roc decided to keep it as it is and gave permission to update the collection.

Long version,

The owner of the Toxic Taco (we won't mention Sylvia her name) has had some severe legal problems after clients became very sick while running around a building that was on fire. This happened not once, not twice, but numerous times. The clients came together and started a joint lawsuit.

It was proven that the food at the Toxic Taco is dangerous to eat. It has near lethal quantities of capsaicin in it. On the Scoville scale the mildest food wares would peak at a value of 17,000,000,000.

During legal proceedings one of the judges tried part of the menu. She was never found back.

To nobodies surprise the owner of the Toxic Taco was ordered to pay a large, undisclosed, ridiculously big amount of money to the former clients.

Due to this the owner of the Toxic Taco went instantly very poor and had to sell the Bay City Historic Pavilion.

Now the odd thing is, whey didn't the owner sell the Toxic Taco?

One of our reporters is a frequent visitor of The Kaasfactorij and there is a secret lookout point, we can't talk about because it's secret, and from there it has been observed that Jeogeot colonialists bring in smuggled goods from Wellfleet Harbor to the Toxic Taco for further resell into our Fair City.

Of course this is all gossip and there is no factual evidence, as far as we know.

Once you get into the claws of the Jeageot colonists it's hard to get out.

The Bay City Historic Pavilion is just across the street of the Bay City Post offices at Dennis. It holds a unique collection of items that are related to the history of Bay City.

There are posters, small items and there is even a plane on display.

Demolition was about to start. Roc Plutonian stood in front of the JCB diggers and ordered the crew to stop. He single-handedly stopped work and negotiated that the building and it's content would stay just where it is.

Tsunami does not impress

A small rumble of the earth and a tsunami wave of just two feet was all that has hit the South of the continent of Sansara.

An eyewitness described it as "A low sound, just a little louder as the breaking of the waves, came from the ground. I could not feel any ground movement while looking out over the ocean. From where I was the continent is to far away to see anything. I did see an odd flash of blueish light. Soon after the rumble I could see a small wave coming from the South hitting the beach. I was not impressed."

Arrested

Police have arrested the witness because she was at a place that was supposed to be evacuated.

Rumours speak of a man dressed in a protective suit, and a big red beard, that was flying an old airplane South to North. The airplane was making odd movements and left behind a smell that resembles rum.

The anticipated connection between Sansara and Jeogeot is fact.

During the last few months a committee of wise people have been discussing, in secret, the name for this new continent. The name Vicks Continent was oddly rejected, so was Marianneia, Strawberryana and DudeAnthoniana.

Just before the continent was connected to Sansara and Jeogeot the committee released the name "Bellisseria". The motivation they gave was "It looks nice in Italy".

Lighthouse

Linden Lab released a press statement describing the land and it's current buildings. They expect other themes in the future. The continent is intended to be used for housing of new residents. The continent comes with a covenant that is enforceable. For that it is completely different as other continents.

Bridge inspector

Bellisseria is free to visit. There are plenty of hidden spots and meeting places to explore. Parcels are being given to residents when they meet certain criteria. If you want a nice place without the hassle of laying down bricks apply now.

Some residents of our Fine City already have received a home on the new continent. Most intent to use it as a vacation home and will keep their residence in Bay City.

Nature

Now that Sansara and Jeogeot are connected the worry about the Jeogeot colonists is peaking. Already there have been smuggling barges seen transporting milk towards an unknown destination in Bay City. Bread and beans are in low supply.

Lighthouse

Officials request to remain calm but stay on the alert. The situation will be evaluated in about a month to see if secret defensive measures can be throttled down a bit.

Bay City opens Embassy in Jeogeot

Our well esteemed citizen Pygar "Snazzeh" Bu, with the full support of the diplomatic service of our Fair City, has opened an Embassy on the continent of Jeogeot in the region Bora.

The embassy is to improve the relation between the residents of the continents Jeogeot and Sansara and give special attention to the fine people of Bay City.

Bay City Embassy

As explained in a previous article the relation is a bit tense at this moment and despite the calming words of our defensive forces there are some citizens of our Fair City that are extremely worried about the expected connection between the two continents.

The embassy tries to explain, in very easy to understand words, that Sansara and Bay City are nice places to visit and should not be smashed.

In a top secret mission (see image) Supreme Commander, General Thomas J. Hooker; Deputy Supreme Commander, General Norbert Ashland; Chief of Staff, Major-General Silvia Hooker and Brigadier General Jack Dalton of the Sansara Expeditionary Forces have visited the embassy. They did not install any monitoring devices or defensive appliances. It is unknown what else they have done while being on the continent of Jeogeot.

Secret mission

Officials continue to stress that there is no need to prepare for the worst. Stockpile bread and milk, cans of beans and corned beef. Clean up our life shelter, fill the water tanks with fresh water.

There is no threat coming from Jeogeot and the chances of something bad happening is extremely low.

The area around Iridium remains evacuated due to the imminent thread of a tsunami when the continents are connected. Please stop rezzing your beach stretchers there.

Our reporters will continue to monitor the situation and when calamity happens we will inform you some time after the events as soon as we can.

The Kaas Factorij

Away from route 66, in Mashpee, known for The Pen and the liquid they call espresso, there is a building named Kaas Factorij. Outlooking the bay of Triton and the Blue Channel the fully concrete building is in Art-Deco style. It was build as a mansion for a wealthy family. At that time there were parks around the building as the head of the family loved hunting pheasants. After the introduction of property taxes the lands got fragmented, re purposed and the building became vacant.

It was recently bought up by somebody that could be connected to the Jeogeot colonists.

The building is now in use as a cheese factory and cheese retail. Despite the cows there it is unknown where the milk is coming from and who is (are) running the operation.

You can visit the Kaas Factorij and discover the process in making cheese. You can even take home some cheese.

It has been reported that boats and barges sometimes, at night, land on the shores of Triton and offload goods that are taken to this building. You can often find someone at the top floor, even on the roof, with binoculars looking out over the bay.

The area around Iridium has been evacuated. The risk of a tsunami is deemed extreme due to the expected connection of the SSP regions with Sansara and Jeogeot. The distance between the SSP regions and Jeogeot is expected to be far enough not to pose any risk.

You are advised to stay away from the Iridium regions and be on the alert when visiting Jeojeot.

Stay calm and act normal

Many citizens of Bay City look in fear at the map. We can see a new continent emerge between Sansara and Jeoget. With that there will be a direct connection between the two continents. Officials have stated that there is no reason to worry or to take precautionary measures. There is no threat coming from Jeogeot and the chances of something bad happening is extremely low.

North =Sansara, South = Jeogeot

As a purely precautionary measure the Sansara home guard has deployed defensive measures at the borders between Sansara and the new continent, and between Sansara and Bay City. Besides that, unknown defences are deployed at various places but officials did not reveal what those are and where.

When Bay City became a successful city, with factories and infrastructure many citizens were living in poverty. Going from day to day without a regular income squatting in sandboxes, parks and sewers.

When Jeogeot was discovered there was a program to relocate the poor and the occasional criminal to colonise Jeogeot. The people were elated with that opportunity and they went there with high hopes.

They unfortunately discovered that the lands were poor, agriculture was nearly impossible. There was no capital and economy to sustain any manufacturing. Jeogeot remained a poor continent for many years.

Occasional visits from Jeogeot colonials did not always go well. There were raids of colonials on the East side of Bay City. The civil defences of Bay City were always able to push them back and the colonials were send back to Jeogeot.

It is suggested that there is active smuggling between Jeogeot and the wealthier parts of the world. Also some claim that criminal activities in Bay City are orchestrated by the colonials.

The Jeogeot gulf harbours an immense naval force and there are plenty of combat airfields around the gulf. Jeogeot colonials like to fight with each other and are well trained in combat.

There is no evidence that Jeogeot colonials pose any direct threat to our Fair City and our way of life. Our culture would be enriched, the workforce is much needed in our factories.

In the near future a direct passage will be possible. Trade opportunities would increase and wealth could improve. Tourism could boom.

Time will tell if the Jeogeot colonials pose any thread to our way of living. We can rely on our defences to protect us if needed. New raids from the Jeogeot colonials are unlikely in these modern times. A good and peaceful passage is in both our interests.

Sansara Defences at Becalmed

Bay City is far away enough not to get hit by a tsunami when the new continent is connected.
