Wolfington

Our explorer/ secret agent/ general/ wolf Kenny (Kennylex Luckless) was exploring the new regions in Bellisseria end of August. The explorations were done before the regions were named.
Standing in front of a new region he spoke the now famous words “I found new land here... I will call it Wolfington!”
Now I feel as Magellan Linden, I found new land here... I will call it Wolfington!
Later, September 9th, Kenny tried to invade Bellisseria, again, with an amphibious attack this time. He failed because the tank he used wasn't watertight and sank to the bottom of the lake.
Amphibious invasion on hold due to water.
Then on September the 17th something remarkable happened. It was discovered that the region that Kenny named Wolfington, was named Wolfington!
At first Kenny could not believe his eyes since, as far as history knows, no ordinary resident of Secondlife has ever named a mainland region.
Ohhhh, I stood here a day ago without knowing that I was looking out over Wolfington.
Quickly Kenny raced to the region and claimed an island for himself as his secret hideout.
It appears that the moles gave extra attention to Wolfington as it is the most beautiful region in Bellisseria.
Kenny on his secret island
Ever since Kenny is running around naming regions, none were honoured, but he tries as best as he can. Other residents have tried to do the same, naming regions, but didn't succeed.

Bay City turned 11!

The Bay City Anniversary Celebration was a great success! Well over 50 participants joined the celebrations, either as spectator, reporter, parader or party goer.

The celebration was announced in the Bay City Post and other news outlets. After the announcement the residents went to work to create some amazing floats.

To prevent catastrophic region breakdowns vehicles are made that are attached and are low in script usage. These things are, except horses and bicycles, not available on the Marketplace so they have to be created specially for this occasion.

We gathered, wearing our floats, near the bandstand in Harwich. The ones with stronger computers could admire the creations of others.
While being there Sylvia announced she was the new Mayori, witch is odd since we have no Mayori.

We could see several slugs (or snails), UFO's, horses, wolfs, a newspaper, there even was Ahabs boat (looked like it, with a squid and shark). Did I see sheep? Tea? All under supervision of our police officer TJ Hooker.

The Mayori (not being Sylvia, tinm) grouped the crowd into four groups each with a leader.
Next the groups went out in sequence over route 66 towards the Bay City Fairgrounds at North Channel. This grouping is to prevent region overload.

During the route there were assigned places, with popcorn and root beer, where spectators could see the parade and throw flowers at them.

Kenny hitched a ride with Miss Bay City. He ended up, with Miss Bay City, in the 'great void' and crashed, and returned later. Most of the parade survived without problems, but with plenty of lag.The Trolleys were at it as usual.

On arrival of the Bay City Fairgrounds drinks went out and the party started. The conga line was filled quickly.

DJ GoSpeed of Kona Stream, our Miss Bay City, kicked of with some fitting celebration music.
Next came Parker Static. A very good singer. One of the songs remembered some special guests that were present in spirit, BlueGin, Hyper and Ever. Ever did provide the conga as well :)
Melenda Baptiste kicked the party with her amazing voice to high gear.
Maximillion Kleen lived up to his reputation and went on to the late late late hours.

Our colleague Daniel Voyager made a similar report of this event and I invite you to read it.

Tsunami does not impress

A small rumble of the earth and a tsunami wave of just two feet was all that has hit the South of the continent of Sansara.

An eyewitness described it as "A low sound, just a little louder as the breaking of the waves, came from the ground. I could not feel any ground movement while looking out over the ocean. From where I was the continent is to far away to see anything. I did see an odd flash of blueish light. Soon after the rumble I could see a small wave coming from the South hitting the beach. I was not impressed."
Arrested

Police have arrested the witness because she was at a place that was supposed to be evacuated.

Rumours speak of a man dressed in a protective suit, and a big red beard, that was flying an old airplane South to North. The airplane was making odd movements and left behind a smell that resembles rum.

The anticipated connection between Sansara and Jeogeot is fact.

During the last few months a committee of wise people have been discussing, in secret, the name for this new continent. The name Vicks Continent was oddly rejected, so was Marianneia, Strawberryana and DudeAnthoniana.
Just before the continent was connected to Sansara and Jeogeot the committee released the name "Bellisseria". The motivation they gave was "It looks nice in Italy".
Lighthouse
Linden Lab released a press statement describing the land and it's current buildings. They expect other themes in the future. The continent is intended to be used for housing of new residents. The continent comes with a covenant that is enforceable. For that it is completely different as other continents.
Bridge inspector
Bellisseria is free to visit. There are plenty of hidden spots and meeting places to explore. Parcels are being given to residents when they meet certain criteria. If you want a nice place without the hassle of laying down bricks apply now.

Some residents of our Fine City already have received a home on the new continent. Most intent to use it as a vacation home and will keep their residence in Bay City.
Nature
Now that Sansara and Jeogeot are connected the worry about the Jeogeot colonists is peaking. Already there have been smuggling barges seen transporting milk towards an unknown destination in Bay City. Bread and beans are in low supply.
Lighthouse
Officials request to remain calm but stay on the alert. The situation will be evaluated in about a month to see if secret defensive measures can be throttled down a bit.
