Anshe Chung was featured on the cover of BusinessWorld for their May 1, 2006 issue, labelling her as the first person to become a real-life millionaire due to her business in Second Life.

This story helped fuel the first big boom in Second Life, pushing the Grid to see its first million members later that year, and drawing the attention of established national brands to the virtual world.

While most of the big companies have long since left Second Life for other pastures, Anshe Chung remains in Second Life as a successful land entrepreneur to this day.
