For Ever Night Ahead!

Dear readers,

A small editorial to give you a heads-up.

April the first is supposed to be a fun day filled with jokes and pranks. Not in Bay City! Our culture gives a complete different meaning to April the first.

Eversday! and Eversnight!

Events in our Fine City start at the Bay City Fairgrounds. This is NOT an official event! Gatherings of people will be near Dennis!

BCFD
Chances are people will run with scissors, dress up as sharks and throw exploding chickens. Worse, When they can they (named Everfools) will set fire to almost everything! They are dangerous!

Despite relentless efforts our Fine City has not been able to halt the Everfools and each year they come back. When they started, the Everfools were anonymous locals. These days the Everfools come from everywhere around the grid! (some hint that Linden Lab supports them)

Please avoid the Everfools and do NOT follow their lead. Report them to the BCPD and report the fires at the BCFD. Do NOT take images of fires and Everfools!

Not that it'll help but ya never know.

Best of luck to you!

Reporter Vick Forcella

Police and Fire Blotter

April 1st
As Ever's Night celebrations commenced, a mysterious fire started in Dennis. The fire quickly spread across the city. Local residents were prepared as Ever's fires ravaged the city, some residents were even seen roasting marshmallows on the fires. BCPD and BCFD dispatchers eventually turned on the recorded message system which told callers about Ever's night and left the offices to enjoy the festivities.

After long hours and hard work, members of the Bay City Fire Department, Bay City Police Department, and the Safety Girls were able to put out the remaining fires from Ever's Night. In a strange twist of fate, all of the buildings that were on fire came out unscathed. The owners all thanked the insurance policy from Dreamscape Life, Alts & Son Co. Inc.

A vehicle was stolen from a local gas station on Route 66. The Bay City Police Department is investigating and are on the lookout for a white/green Platypus, last seen travelling in the Canals. The vehicle was not found after the Canals were searched by the Bay City Coast Guard.

April 19th
Reports started coming in from across Bay City of strange people wearing costumes and dancing. One person checked themselves into Channel Island, mumbling about raining tacos. The BCPD investigated the incident, and found the apparition to be people wearing an air dancer costume and advertising for the special at Toxic Taco. *The daily special from Toxic Taco has been known to cause spontaneous combustion, and this article is by no means an endorsement for eating the special.

April 21st
One of Bay City most respected citizens, the harbour mistress, was found at a nearby power-station pulling out cables causing a total blackout for several hours. After that an unknown force has taken her to the Big Grid where she will have the freedom to speak with long lost friends, and start some fires.

Police and Fire Blotter

March 16th
A local resident's pet dog caught a Mole hiding in the bushes near their property. After being checked out by paramedics from the Bay City Fire Department, the Mole was given a clean bill of health, a box of Mole Snax, and sent on his way. No citations were given as the Mole declined to press charges, however, the Bay City Police K9 unit was seen having words with the suspect dog.

March 17th
The Bay City Coast Guard was spotted performing operations in Daley Bay after the Bay suddenly turned green. Local authorities could not be reached for comment, though some nearby residents claimed the colour to be proof of toxic spill-off from the water treatment plant.
March 29th
Panic started to ensue over the fuel shortage caused by people stockpiling fuel for Ever's Night. Residents were lined up for blocks to fuel up. The Bay City Police eventually stationed officers at the gas stations after an altercation involving thrown poultry.

March 29th
Sconset was blockaded this evening as the Bay City Space Program launched a space flight. Bystanders attempted to line the canal to watch, but were turned away by the Bay City Coast Guard. The Bay City Fire Department was on standby, though was not needed as the craft returned to the launching pad safely.

March 30th
Route 66 was shut down for a short time as the Bay City Police Department escorted a convoy of fuel trucks into the city. One resident noted that the lead truck had a Bay City Fire Department livery and disappeared somewhere along the route near the fire station.

March 31st
As festivities began across the city for Ever's Night, Bay City Police and Bay City Firefighters were seen securing several properties in preparation. Sansaran armed forces were seen setting up in Nova Albion to ensure the local celebration did not move out into the rest of the continent.

Bay City Impressions: Ever's Night

It was expected, despite all the warnings, the precautions and the Bay City Fire Department, Ever's Night passed through our Fine City as a tornado of raging fires leaving a trail of destruction and breath taking smoke.

Only people that are insured can try and get a refund from their agent (be insured!). The rest have to rebuild prim by prim.

Following impressions from Ever's Night. We had to hand-pick from the many many pictures that were submitted to the editor of this Fine Newspaper. Thank you all for your contributions!

About: Ever Dreamscape

Sometimes people that are less familiar with Bay City ask about Ever Dreamscape. This article tries to answer some of that. This speech has been posted before in the Bay City Post in September 2014 and this is an integral copy of that post.

To celebrate Ever Dreamscape her life many Bay City Residents light a "modest" fire on her real life birthday, April the First, Ever's day and Ever's night. Join us on that day so that she can live on.

THE DEDICATION OF THE
EVER DREAMSCAPE MEMORIAL

Welcome Everyone.

Today, we dedicate this virtual space in the memory of our departed Ever Dreamscape.

Let it be known that Ever Dreamscape lit a fire in Bay City.

I don't mean one of her scores of literal virtual fire this time, however. No, Ever Dreamscape quite literally helped transform this place.

This place is a place to remember all she did and all she was.

To list her accomplishments in Bay City is to list nearly everything that happened over the last several years. She turned events like Mole Day and the tree lighting and turned into much larger affairs, while being at the birth of other Bay City events such as our Oktoberfest this afternoon. She started the Bay City Post, our monthly newspaper. She helped get the fairgrounds expanded. She created the Bay City Brewery, She helped create The Pen, and she was in -- as I said -- everything.

As you sit at this memorial, look beyond it. You can see the Park Plaza Hotel, Rez N Ride, the Hyperbole Building which serves as home to Etv and the Bay City Post, and -- on a good day -- her DMV/insurance/driving school. You can also see the buildings of others who were at least in part inspired to be her thanks to Ever Dreamscape. Our city itself serves as part of this memorial.

Central to the memorial itself is an eternal flame. It's one of Ever's, sourced from the driving school. It is one of those that helped the city burn in her honour when she perished. As long as there is a Bay City, there will be this fire to help consume our memory.

To the left is a book of poetry, composed by Ever Dreamscape under an alternate account. This book led to the initial creation of The Pen as a place to host poetry and other events. She would regularly attend Espresso Yourself night and share. At the last she attended, she even dominated the stage, telling her own life story. That piece, "Hero's Journey," can be found on her old website at http://21stnervousbreakdown.blogspot.com/2014/03/heros-journey.html - if you have not read it, please do when you can. And spend some time reading the book here too, if you wish.

To the right of the fire is a frame. In it, you can see a looped slide show of photos of Ever Dreamscape. Both ones that all of us took of her, as well as ones she took in her many SL feed "feed-spam" marathons are presented. To each of you here today, I wish to offer you a copy of these photos as well, in the form of a memory book. Keep Ever with you always, even if she's not here in her living avatar form now.

In her last weeks with us, more than once, she told me how important butterflies were to her. As a result, thanks to the talents of Alisha Matova, a dream image that came to my mind in her passing is realized. When you stand near the memorial, an endless stream of flame coloured butterflies is released, spiralling upwards to the heavens. This is Ever's spirit, free and wild, unconfined.

The butterflies may even be more than they seem. If you can catch one, you can ride it. One last bit of silly fun to be had in Ever Dreamscape's name.

Before I finish, I want to acknowledge those who made this memorial possible. I mentioned already Alisha Matova, who built the butterflies and the triple-column plinth. Pygar Bu put together the flowers. Robin Sojourner and I created the frame slide show from her and your photos, and I did the rest of the overall structure. The Linden Department of Public Works, most notably Michael Linden and Sylvan Mole, helped with the permanent placement of the memorial here in Bay City - Dennis.

I also wish to thank each of you for being here, for being a part of this day. This memorial is in her memory, but it is also for each of us to use, to reflect on, and enjoy.

now stop crying.

EversNight! Be Prepared!

We are heading toward the craziest day, and night, in our Fine City. Evers Night!

Last year, on April the first, large portions of or fine city ended up in ashes. Large fires were raging everywhere. The Bay City Police department and the Bay City Fire department were busy doing their best, supplying sufficient petrol to the ones in need.

The reason why things suddenly catch fire is still a mystery. It is suggested that the secret cult of Ever fools set things on fire.

This year it is expected that not only our Fine City will be caught in a tornado of fires but that also on several sub continents prims could be turned into ashes.

The Sansara Border Protection Unit has been seen setting up bubbly foam barriers to stop fires entering the ageing continent.

In anticipation the Mayori (tinm) has been seen escaping our Fine City leaving us helpless.
I'm away

If you happen to see the Ever fools, avoid any contact, stay indoors and barricade the doors. Keep a water-hose, or a fire-extinguisher, and a first-aid-kit ready.

Bolt down anything outside, benches, cat, dogs, cows, chickens, garden chairs and anything that can be moved or can take fire.

Please do not run with scissors, swim with sharks or drink Bay City Brew. Don't be an Ever fool.

You can help the Bay City Post by posting pictures on the feed, anything related to Eversnight. Please inform the editor of the Bay City Post (Vick Forcella) of your picture.

Eversnight is to celebrate the life of Ever Dreamscape and ya bet ya she will be watching you setting things on fire! Let it be known that Ever Dreamscape lit a fire in Bay City.

Be safe, don't be an Ever fool.
